Most people are ecstatic to have 2020 in the rear-view mirror and quite frankly we are no different at Fantastec. After being the first to launch sports digital collectibles on the blockchain in 2019 and securing the #1 downloaded app spot in the UK and several other countries we wanted more in 2020. Despite the enormous challenges faced by all during the pandemic outbreak we still delivered some milestones and firsts in fan-engagement in 2020 including:
Fantastec were the first to create and distribute a blockchain based women’s football digital collection. In fact, we were so proud of this achievement for the women’s game we came back and created an even better Arsenal Women’s Football digital collection for the 2020/21 season
Fantastec were the first to create contactless player signatures assuring fans they could still obtain and collect blockchain authenticated autographs of their favourite players like Erling Haaland, Alexandre Lacazette and Danielle van de Donk in the Covid 19 era
Fantastec were the first (and only!) to reach the 1,000,000 blockchain digital collectibles in circulation in 2020. Thanks to the football fans in general as well as mega-fans of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal men’s and women’s teams. These unique digital collectibles will live forever on fans phones around the globe
So, while we are all happy to have 2020 behind us, it is also nice to know our Fantastec SWAP team, once again set some significant sports fan engagement standards for being first.
